Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
Q1 - How do I report my professional hours?
Answer: Your BAP professional hours are reported when you fill out the "Professional Hours Form." You can then check your hours in real time on the BAPSI website. For each professional BAP event you attend, you will receive a minimum of 1 professional hour, but you may receive more if the event lasts longer than 1 hour. Please be advised that your hours will not be official until you have paid your dues.
Q2 - How do I report my service hours?
Answer: Your BAP service hours are reported when you fill out the "Service Hours Form." You can then check your hours in real time on the BAPSI website. Please be advised that your hours will not be official until you have paid your dues.
Q3 - How do I check how many hours I have?
Answer: In previous years, the BAP website contained a link to an Excel spreadsheet that contained all professional and service hours that had been reported. However, the current BAP officers have decided to move away from this rather cumbersome process and implement a real-time, highly-accessible reporting system. The two tables above now display members' hours and are updated instantaneously - so members can check their hours anywhere and at any time.
Q4 - Can I receive BAP professional or service hours when I am involved in professional or service activities that are not sponsored by BAP?
Answer: Perhaps. "BAP hours" are earned during BAP events (i.e., events organized and sponsored by our BAP chapter). Other professional or service activities that you participate in on your own may qualify as "non-BAP" hours. Your non-BAP professional and service hours can be reported as "Other" through the Google form, or by contacting our reporting secretary, Monica Allgaier, at Monica.J.Allgaier.1@nd.edu.
